About Us
Since 2013 TWC has been building low priced, robust cable systems for commercial and residential applications, read our story below.
Our story
The Wakeboard Cable is manufactured in North Carolina, USA. Our cable was designed from the ground up to make a more durable cable, reduce complexity, and make a more affordable cable.
Our first cable was completed in February of 2013 and has been running ever since. Our goal is to make cable wakeboarding accessible to everyone with a lake or pond.
The idea for a low-cost cable system began in 2012 after a long day of wakeboarding. At the time cable wakeboarding was fun, but only accessible if a wakeboard park happened to be in the area.
The original Wakeboard Cable test site is a 14-acre lake located in Greenville, NC USA. After a year of development, the first prototype of the two-line cable was built in February 2013. The prototype proved to be well designed and a whole lot of fun. An improved version of the system was created over the next winter and after many requests from potential customers the company launched in May of 2014. In 2016 a partner and new test site was added. The Wakeboard Cable location in Odessa,
Missouri USA features one two-line system and the prototype of the three-line system. The three-line system was created in late 2016 in response to needs of customers with long cable spans to increase tension and to reduce wear on carrier wheels. Most manufacturing is done in Odessa for centralized shipping to the United States. From 2014-2017 22 cables were sold in multiple countries at both private and commercial parks including five of the new three-line cable systems. TWC is a small business, all calls, quotes, and production are handled personally by one of the owners of the company.
We look forward to helping you make your dream of having a wakeboard cable a reality too.
